The Adirondack Parkinson's Foundation (ADKPF), founded in October 2015, is a Parkinson's Disease research advocacy organization with the goal of raising funds for Parkinson's Disease research and awareness through 5K run/walk events. Located in Upstate New York at the foothills of the Adirondack mountains, the Adirondack Parkinson's Foundation prides itself on its close ties to the local community and partnerships with other organizations that share its goals. Through educating the community about Parkinson's Disease, supporting individuals and families that experience the condition, and committing to fight tirelessly for a cure, the Adirondack Parkinson's Foundation looks forward to the day that Parkinson's Disease is no longer an issue in our local and global communities.
The Adirondack Parkinson's Foundation hosts its second annual 5K for Parkinson's on Sunday, May 21st, 2017 at Knox Field in Johnstown, New York. Information on walker/runner registration, corporate sponsorships, and community partnerships for the event can be found by visiting www.adkpf.org.
Please consider making a donation, of any amount, to support the efforts of the Adirondack Parkinson's Foundation and the success of the upcoming 2017 5K for Parkinson's. All proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Albany Medical Center's Department of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Research. Donations are accepted online via this page, or via cash or check by mail (for information on mail donations, click here).
